Lisa 2 – VIP Sports Cruiser

We are often asked why all our boats are called “Lucus” or “Lisa”. 5 Star Marine is a family-owned company, which Shaun and Lisa built from just one boat, Lucus 1, and now they own and operate over 22 boats.

Despite the growth, the core values of 5 Star Marine have never changed. This is a family company, each team member is family. As a constant reminder of that, our boats are named after Shaun and Lisa’s son Lucus.

While it’s unusual for a boat to have a “Male” name, traditionally boats are named after girls, Shaun and Lisa decided to call them Lucus so they could constantly be reminded why they were building this company, which is to create a better future for their kids.

Unfortunately in Thailand, there is a limit to the number of boats that can use a similar name. So once they hit that limit, they swapped to naming the boats from Lucus to Lisa.
