Phi Phi is a particularly well know location in the Phuket region, with one of its iconic islands made famous after being featured in the 2000 movie, “The Beach” featuring Leonardo DiCaprio.
While many people mistakenly believe that Phi Phi is made up of just one Island, in fact it is a group of 6 islands in total. 5 of these islands are Virgin Islands, with no developments or premises on them other than National Park buildings.
Phi Phi Don is the only island in this group which does have developments; including hotels, restaurants, shops and bars. This island is also known for various fantastic snorkelling locations and authentic Thai restaurants.
The most notable “Beach” in the Phi Phi Island group is the spectacular Maya Bay on Phi Phi Leh. Currently, Maya Bay is closed, which means that you are not able to walk on the beach there. However, it is still a fantastic experience as you can still visit this beautiful and famous cove and take photos from a distance, or swim off to the side of the Bay.
The Phi Phi Islands have some stunning coral reefs abound with marine life, ready to give you an unforgettable experience, swimming and snorkelling in crystal clear tropical waters.
