What is the 7+7 Model?
This is where Sandbox tourists need to stay in Phuket for 7 nights (versus the 14 nights that was previously enforced) before being able to enjoy day trips out of the province to locations like Phi Phi or Phang Nga Bay or transfer onto another province for another 7 nights or less of stay.
Who Is The New 7+7 Rule For?
1. Please note, that the new 7+7 model is only applied to Sandbox tourists who are not yet in Phuket. This does not apply to tourists who are currently here.
2. If you have already entered Phuket on a 14-day Certificate of Entry (COE), you cannot swap this to the new 7+7 rule change.
3. This new 7+7 model COE is automatically applied to any traveler entering Phuket and received their COE from August 1st forward.

This is where Sandbox tourists stay in Phuket for 7 nights (versus the 14 nights that was previously enforced) before transferring to one of the sealed route destinations for the second 7 nights (or shorter).
Who Is The New 7+7 Rule For?
- Please note, that the new 7+7 model is only applied to Sandbox tourists who are not yet in Phuket. This does not apply to tourists who are currently here.
- If you have already entered Phuket on a 14-day Certificate of Entry (COE), you cannot swap this to the new 7+7 rule change.
- In order to come in on this new 7+7 COE you must apply for this 7+7 COE specifically at your embassy prior to travelling.

Can You Island Hop After 7 Nights?
No, you cannot island hop or take a boat day tour after your initial 7 nights in Phuket.
However, after 7 nights in Phuket, you are free to transfer to one other province, and must stay there for the (up to) 7 nights. So, the 7+7 is in reality 7 nights in Phuket + up to 7 nights in one other province only.

Other provinces we can organise a private speedboat transfer to (from day 8) include:
- Phi Phi
- Koh Ngai
- Krabi (Railay)
- Koh Yao Islands (Noi and Yai)
- Phang Nga
- Khao Sok
However please note you still have to adhere to the Provincial rules of where you choose.
Can You Island Hop After 7 Nights?
From the 8th day onwards, you are now able to island-hop. The destinations you can day trip to include Phi Phi, Phang Nga Bay, Hong Krabi, Koh Yao Yai, Koh Yao Noi, Khai Islands plus the local islands of Racha, Mai Ton, and Coral. If you wish to transfer and spend your next 7 nights in another province in the 7+7 model 5 Star Marine can provide Sealed Route transfers.
5 Star Marine Transfers From Day 8:

- After 7 nights in Phuket contact us here at 5 Star Marine and we will help you with your proof of stay needed to travel onwards.
- If you finish your 7 nights, then you can enjoy a day trip or onward travel to another province.
- Traveling by boat, we would arrange for you to get back to the government-approved pier and go to the airport.
- 5 Star Marine (who are TAT SHA Plus certified) can help with all paperwork requirements.
What Are The Current Sandbox Requirements For Boat Travel?
- Copy of your passport
- Vaccine certificate
- Copy of RCPR negative test within 7 days of travel (Only if visiting Phi Phi, Khai or Phang Nga Bay)
- MorChana app installed on your phone

How Does It Work?
- After 7 nights in Phuket, your hotel will give you a transfer certificate to go to another province.
- This is not for a day tour; you need to spend up to 7 nights in another approved province.
- If you finish your 7 nights, then you can onward travel as you like.
- However, if you spend less than 7 nights in your chosen next destination and want to return to Phuket, you must have a flight booked for the same day.
