“The Beach” (2000): Directed by Danny Boyle and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, this adventure drama was filmed in various locations in Thailand, including Phuket’s Maya Bay on Phi Phi Leh island. The movie brought international attention to the beauty of Maya Bay, making it a tourist hotspot.
“Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason” (2004): The sequel to “Bridget Jones’s Diary” features scenes shot in Phuket. The island provided the backdrop for some of the movie’s beach and resort scenes.
