Khai Islands Private Tour

When you book our Khai Islands Private Tour, you get to experience not just one, but a group of three famous, small islands.

Koh Khai Nok, Koh Khai Nai and Koh Khai Nui; each offer something slightly different, and The Khai Islands Private Tour is a mere 15 – 20 minute speedboat ride from our centrally located pier in Phuket, Boat Lagoon.

These three popular and family-friendly islands are situated close together and are especially appealing for beginner snorkellers because you can go straight off the beach on some of the islands to enjoy the underwater vibrant coral and marine life on offer.

With our Khai Islands Private Tour, your day trip is customisable; there is no need to rush to get to the next island, or restrictive time slots for lunch. If you are enjoying your picnic lunch on the beach (which we can arrange for you, including Thai sharing dishes and western favourites) then just let us know and take your time to relax for longer.

With our Khai Islands Private Tour, there is no set schedule; the day is bespoke for you, so it will be very different to the more rigid timings you might find with the group tours.

Therefore, if you are looking for an easy, close by island day trip that is good for families, snorkelling and relaxing on the beach you can’t beat 5 Star Marine’s Khai Islands Private Tour.

Let’s take a look at what the three Khai Islands have to offer:

  • Koh Khai Nok
The distinctive egg-shaped island of Koh Khai Nok helps to explain its other known name “Egg Island”. It is blessed with soft, sandy beaches, and the water is crystal clear with a pale blue tinge. Simply standing in the water just off this island you will get to see plenty of colourful fish, so it is a perfect spot for swimming and snorkelling. On your Khai Island Private Tour, you can take your time to enjoy this islands’ sandy beach, relax and take in the sights and experience some off-the-beach snorkelling here.
  • Koh Khai Nui Island
Khai Nui is another wonderful spot for snorkelling, this time right off the boat. It is another picturesque and small island you can visit on your Khai Islands Private Tour. It boasts pristine white sands and crystal-clear waters abundant with a great variety of coral and marine life making this a great spot for swimming, diving and snorkelling off the boat.
  • Koh Khai Nai
This is the largest of the three islands and Koh Khai Nai offers clear, shallow waters which makes it popular and a safe choice. This area offers some perfect snorkelling opportunities for families with young children due to the shallow, clear waters. There is also a postcard on a white sandy beach to enjoy a spot of lunch on.

5 Star Marine’s Khai Island Private Tour

Our Khai Island Private Tour is personal and customisable, so your day trip itinerary will take into account what you want to get out of your day, be fully flexible so you can spend more time doing what you enjoy, and be a combined itinerary with our experienced guides. Our guides and captains will ensure that you discover the three islands in the best possible conditions, and understand that timing at Khai Islands can be important to give you the best experience on the day.

What Happened At 5 Star Marine In The Last 12 Months?

It’s been a crazy 2 years. Unprecedented is the word that comes to mind. Global tourism shutdown, we completely changed our business model, we provided over 610,000 life bags to people in need, we started a foundation, moved offices, and delivered over 1000 memorable boat experiences. And that’s just a few of the things that we did here in the last 12 months. To take a look at the year in review check out this video below:

Thailand Pass, Phuket Sandbox, Test And Go – We’re Confused Are You?

ANNOUNCEMENT – Thailand Pass Rules Update Frequently, The Information In The Below Post Is Now Out Of Date For Latest News Please Visit: https://5starmarinephuket.com/phuket-sandbox-rules-and-updates/

We’ve been receiving a lot of messages lately with confused travelers asking us to clarify the current rules on entry into Thailand and more than that, what they can do once they are here in Phuket.

  • Can you go Island Hopping in the Phuket Sandbox?
  • Do you need to stay the full 7 days of the Phuket Sandbox is the same hotel?
  • Is the Sandbox even relevant anymore considering that Test and Go restarts on February 1st?

These are all good questions and some of them are a little more difficult to answer than others. So let’s start firstly with how you enter Phuket / Thailand. On the 1st February, 2022 forward Thailand is reopening on the Test and Go scheme.

This is an entry scheme into Thailand that allows you to fly to any international airport in Thailand. Once landed in you will show your Test and Go paperwork and then you will spend 1 night in a specific type of hotel. In most cases that is a SHA Plus Approved hotel.

The reason for the 1 night is you are waiting on the result of your on-arrival RT-PCR test. Once that test result is provided and is negative you are free to move around Thailand, there are no restrictions.

You will be required to take a second RT-PCR test on Day 5 of your stay, and on that night, you also need to stay in a SHA Plus Approved hotel waiting for your result.

Once that test is clear, you are then also free again to move around Thailand as you like.

Now there are other entry schemes into Thailand like the Sandbox, Sandbox Extension, and also Alternate Quarantine but in our opinion, all of these schemes are irrelevant RIGHT NOW as the Test and Go scheme is reopened.

Instead of confusing you with these schemes, we will just recommend you apply and enter on the Test and Go scheme.

This means that when you are in Thailand and specifically Phuket you can go on ANY tour that you like. You can go to Phi Phi Islands and see the amazing Maya Bay, you can go to Phang Nga Bay and see the stunning James Bond Island.

In fact, more than 11 destinations are open to you, you can see some of them in this video here.

We hope this helps clarify the current situation here in Phuket and if you have any questions feel free to contact us.

Life Bag Project Summary

As 2022 starts off with a few shaky steps we look back over 2021 with satisfaction knowing that the Food Relief project that we started back in 2020 had a dramatic impact on our local community as well as our staff, team and volunteers involved in the project.

Across 2021 we delivered in excess of 410,000 life bags, this is a staggering number of life bags when you consider that this project started off in a spare room, at a house, with a team of 3-5 packing 300 – 500 bags a time.

Here’s a look back at some of the key milestones of 2021 in our Life Bag Project:

January 30th 2021 – This was our first large group pack held at the Sutai Muay Thai Gym where we packed over 1000 life bags in a 2–3-hour period with the help of over 80 Volunteers.  This was the start of weekly large group packing sessions that we conducted during the times where Covid was under control and the rules allowed us to. These large group packing sessions led to relationships with the International Schools, Hotels, and alike who proved to be valuable partners in packing life bags across the year.

ANNOUNCEMENT – Thailand Pass Rules Update Frequently, The Information In The Below Post Is Now Out Of Date For Latest News Please Visit: https://5starmarinephuket.com/phuket-sandbox-rules-and-updates/

With Phuket and Thailand changing the rules for entry into the Country in January there has been a lot of questions from travelers around what they can and can’t do, where they can visit by boat, and what island hopping tours are allowed.

Shaun took some time to film a video complete with a map of Phuket and its surrounding islands to give you an idea of where you can go. The good news is that islands like James Bond Island, Phi Phi Island, and even Hong Krabi are allowed to visit areas.
